How much does residential drafting cost?

If you are interested in drafting, the price usually includes preliminary sketch renderings, as well as two rounds of revisions and the final renderings (total of 3 revisions). For a large custom project, renderings may be cost more.

To determine the costs the project needs to be fully communicated to us at Danville Drafting Services.  Be prepared to describe the following:

    • The scope of the project
    • The way you want it to look
    • A concept to work from

There are a wide range of factors that may affect
the total cost and/or hourly rate of drafting that includes:

    • The size project
    • Details requested in your project
    • Complexity of your project ideas

All projects begin with a free initial consulation up to 2 hours.  For any drafting work to be produced a startup fee deposit is required to begin the first revision of the project.

Typically, Danville Drafting Services charges on a per project basis with 2 revisions and a final residential draft.  So, again this is effectively 3 revisions.

All costs and prices quoted stand.  However, hourly rates apply beyond the original quotes as the revising process can sometiems take more than the 3 total revisions.  In the cases of the revising process taking more than 3 total revisions, a per revision estimate averaging about 10-15 hours at the quoted hourly rate for the project is agreed upon prior to the completion of any revisions beyond 3.

The average number of hours for a small residential drafting is about 40-45 hours.  A larger residential drafting could be as much as 60-70 hours.  The level of complexity and level of detail needed increases the total number of hours per project.
